The Heathland School is committed to working in partnership with a range of industry and local community groups locally, nationally and internationally in order to provide a broader and richer education experience for our students.
Our strategic partners include: successful businesses across a range of sectors, from medical to media, a number of international organisations and universities as well as local partners based on our excellent location in South London.
Our work with these partners contributes to students’ learning experience and equips them with the necessary skills required to succeed in a rapidly changing working environment. Our Industry Links programme enables students to develop team-building and thinking skills; giving students the confidence they need to be decision making leaders of the 21st century. Our wide range of inspirational visitors and motivational guest speakers support many areas of the curriculum and offer insightful advice for students, providing a wealth of careers information and encouraging students to think about their future.
- Heathland students are also encouraged to enter into a number of prestigious competitions each year such as the National Knockout competitions in Football, Rugby and Netball, Mosaic business challenge, The Alan Turing Competition, UKMT Maths challenges, Shakespeare Schools’ Festival and Carnegie Book Shadowing. The competitions provide opportunities for students to challenge themselves, apply their learning in unique ways and meet with peers from across the country.
